What do you call someone born in Ontario but university educated in Quebec and who has taught English in Peru and traveled all through Latin America, plus across Nepal and Thailand? A very likely candidate to become an Anglocom employee!
Behind the French-sounding name of Guil Lefebvre stands an exceptionally fluent English speaker who crafts his language with flourish and aplomb. We discovered Guil when Concordia University sent us one of its star translation pupils for an internship. We threw him to the lions, so to speak, testing his talent on one challenging text after another. We asked him to work to tight deadlines. We mixed styles and tone and subject matter. And when we saw what he could do, we jumped at the chance to keep him on staff when he expressed a desire to stay.
Cultivated, inquisitive, friendly, hard working—these are some of the words that come to mind when we think of our colleague Guil today as he lends his talent to Anglocom’s blue chip lineup of clients.
