Before ever contemplating a career as a translator, Karen applied her considerable talents and keen analytical mind to the study of anthropology. But life has a way of taking unexpected turns!
In Karen’s case, her natural curiosity and confident writing style led her to study Portuguese and Spanish, then to work in French as an editor and writer in the field of education. A multiyear stint with the World Organization for Early Childhood Education later put her on a multilingual and multinational track. It also brought her into contact with translation, a profession she excelled at instinctively and grew to love.
At Anglocom, Karen has now discovered a team of kindred spirits and a work environment tailor made for her wealth of experience and easygoing temperament. Proof yet again that great minds think alike—and often end up working together!
