“ Language is like sports. The words have to get over all sorts of hurdles to form a winning idea. ”
Katherine Hastings
Certified French-to-English Translator/English Copyeditor

Katherine, or Kitty as she's known around the office, spent much of her childhood in Ontario. In her university years, she moved to Montreal to do a B.A. in modern languages at McGill. A whiz with words, she was also a whiz on skis and became a member of Canada's cross country development team. It was only natural then that she should choose Quebec City—the snow capital of the world—as her new home upon completion of her studies in 1989.

At first Katherine worked as an English-language monitor. Later she began doing freelance translation work for local businesses, who quickly came to appreciate her talent. Looking for new challenges, she joined Anglocom in 1999 and has been a valued member of the team ever since.
